Our Medi-Prep programme can prepare you for a pathway to nursing and it can also be used as additional tuition for medical and dentistry students.
If you are trained outside the European Economic Area (EEA) as a nurse and want to work in the UK as a nurse, you must gain professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Applicants are tested for competence through a two-part process to gain registration:
-
Part one - computer-based multiple-choice examination which is accessible around the world for applicants to access in their home countries.
-
Part two - practical objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) which will always be held in the UK.
Nursing was added to the shortage occupation list in 2015 but in a change to the rules, employers have been required to still carry out a Resident Labour Market Test (RLMT) before recruiting a non-EEA nurse from 24 November 2016. For more information on rules for overseas nurse applicants, please click here. AISR may help you find a place to work as a nurse, please contact us on info@aisr.org.uk.
